About Us
Our Olive Story began with our 2012 Italian vacation. We were already self-proclaimed ‘foodies; and became immediately entranced by the flavors of the food: olive oil, balsamic, lemons, tomatoes – we just became enamored of all things Mediterranean. We learned how REAL olive oil tasted and fell in love with it! We came home and put olive oil and balsamic on everything. When we discovered the flavors of infused olive oils and balsamic vinegars at a store in Georgia, we became very excited and couldn’t decide which we liked best … so we ended up buying them all in the form of our own store!
Since then, our love of olive oil has only grown as we’ve come to understand not only the flavors and food pairings, but also the health benefits. We love our products and we want to educate others about the benefits of REAL extra virgin olive oil.
For example extra virgin olive oil can contribute nutritional support in the fight against such health problems as arthritis, cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol, and in pain management.

Both Greg and I are interested in a healthy lifestyle and diet due to our medical backgrounds. Greg graduated from USC School of Pharmacy and is a licensed pharmacist. He worked in retail pharmacy for five years and has worked for a large pharmaceutical company for 30 years. I am a native of Lexington County. I graduated from Brookland-Cayce High School, attended USC and graduated from MUSC with a BS in Medical Technology. I have worked for The American Red Cross, MUSC and several other hospitals with the most recent being Riley Children’s Hospital where I worked in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology.

Our Mission at The Classy Cruet is to bring our customers the freshest and highest quality Extra Virgin Olive Oils and Balsamic Vinegars from around the world. Our belief is that once our customers experience the variety of flavors and the quality of our products, they will enthusiastically incorporate these flavorful, healthy oils and vinegars into their daily lives.

Located at Hope Ferry Center in Lexington, SC and at 223 Columbia Avenue, Chapin, SC (adjacent to Catch 22) our shop walls are lined with large, stainless steel drums known as fusti, which protect and supply the great variety of unique flavors of oils and vinegars. We offer our customers the opportunity to experience some of the finest, award-winning 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oils, both whole fruit- and herb-fused olive oils, and traditional balsamic vinegars from select artisans around the world. We encourage each customer to sample all our Extra Virgin Olive Oils and Balsamic Vinegars and to savor each flavor before deciding upon a favorite and finally making their purchase. We then personally fill, cork and seal our oil and vinegar bottles in the shop at the time of purchase to ensure the ultimate in freshness.
